Our Leadership Team

ELDERS

Elders are called to a variety of functions within the church, but primarily the ones of leadership, equipping the saints for the work of ministry, and the ministry of the Word and prayer.  Our elders serve with equal authority, but carry different roles and responsibilities.

Adam Campbell

Originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, Adam moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to begin ministry as a church intern in 2004. There he met, and a few years later married, Emily, while working in the college ministry.

Adam graduated from the Sovereign Grace Pastors College in 2009 and received his MDiv from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2018.

During that time, he served in a variety of roles as a pastor at an affiliated church, Mercy Hill Community Church in Virginia.

After 12 years of ministry at Mercy Hill, Adam and Emily answered a call to relocate to help build Living Hope Church in Gambrills, MD. Adam joined the team as lead pastor in 2021. Adam has a passion for the gospel to be proclaimed to each generation, and to equip the saints for the work of ministry.

Adam and Emily have two children.

Leo Vadalà

Leo has lived his entire life in the state of Maryland, having grown up in the small town of Rising Sun, where he met Susan in high school. Leo and Susan married in 1979 after graduating from college.

Leo’s studies and career have mostly revolved around languages, working as a government translator and then as a high-school teacher in Spanish and Italian. Yet his and Susan’s life has revolved around the local church, and they have experienced the joy of committed friendships and walking in Christian fellowship with other believers over a span of four decades.

More recently, Leo began to explore how he can better serve the local church, and he pursued a course of study and discipleship which culminated in his ordination as an elder in March 2021.

Leo and Susan have three children and four grandchildren, and live in Gambrills, Maryland.

DEACONS

Deacons are called to help facilitate serving within the church.  We desire to see needs met within the church and our community, and to have every person using their gifts, and deacons help facilitate this happening.

ELDER ADVISORS

Elder advisors serve the church, and the eldership, by providing care, wisdom, and feedback on decisions in the life of the church.  Though they are not officially ordained, these are godly men, trusted by the church, in helping the elders lead effectively.
