In this passage, we see the beginning of the betrayal of Jesus by Judas. We see him agree with the chief priests to the decision that would soon lead to His unjust arrest. We look at Judas as a warning for every life. He was enslaved to his sinful desires. He was a fool, who thought he fooled God. He squandered the mercy of God. But we also see the great hope we have, to rather than squander, live under the mercy of God.
